The NEOKCR Small Business Accelerator (NSBA) is a 10-week experience designed to accelerate Northeast OKC's entrepreneurship ecosystem by supporting Eastside-based founders of high growth and main street business concepts in the metro area with potential.
NSBA is designed to accelerate OKC's entrepreneurship ecosystem by supporting socially and economically disadvantaged (SEDI) founders of high-growth and main street businesses—especially on the Eastside. Businesses are equipped with education and training to better operate their businesses including financial, accounting, legal and human management as well as preparing them for access to capital, both dilutive and non-dilutive funding. The program also connects participants to industry experts and an expanded business network to help expand their reach.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
Founder Training
The OMFA has two 6-week curriculum paths, one for early stage founders with concepts positioning for rapid growth, and the other for founders with existing “main street” businesses that are looking to improve their enterprise for higher profitability and sustainability.
Operational Intervention
Eligible cohort founder will have the opportunity to be paired with an industry-specific expert for 6-weeks of operational intervention and planning. Mentors will provide hands-on consultation and targeted intervention to align the founders business model with practical strategies and relationships.
Ecosystem Events
Founders will receive facilitated connections to the Innovation District ecosystem professionals and investors through social experiences designed to gather founders and cultivate relationships with each other while learning and networking.
Founder Awards
Eligible founders will receive a non-dilutive Accelerator Grant from the Alliance of Economic Development upon successful program completion. Accelerator Grants are designed to provide working capital and funding for businesses to execute the strategies developed during Operational Intervention. These funds will allow owners to maintain full ownership of their business.
