On August 6, Northeast Oklahoma City Renaissance celebrated an important milestone for NSBA Cohort 8 with the cohort’s Founders Dinner—a chance to gather, reflect, and recognize the growth of the entrepreneurs who have spent the past several weeks investing in their businesses and in themselves.

The NEOKCR Small Business Accelerator (NSBA) is designed to support SEDI founders as they build and strengthen Main Street businesses. Throughout the program, founders have access to business coaching, resources, connections, and a community of peers who understand the opportunities and challenges that come with building a business.

The conclusion of Cohort 8 marks a moment for these founders to pause and recognize how far they have come.

Celebrating the Founders

The Founders Dinner brought Cohort 8 together in a space centered on connection and celebration. After weeks of learning, collaboration, and hard work, the evening gave founders an opportunity to pitch their businesses to community stakeholders and potential investors while celebrating their collective accomplishments and the relationships built along the way.

Entrepreneurship can often feel like an individual journey, but programs like NSBA create opportunities for founders to learn alongside people navigating many of the same questions: How do I build a sustainable business? How do I strengthen my operations? What does growth look like for my company? How can my business contribute to the community around me?

Those conversations—and the relationships that come from them—are an important part of the NSBA experience.

Building Businesses, Building Community

At NEOKCR, we believe that small businesses are an essential part of a thriving community. Local entrepreneurs create jobs, provide services, bring new ideas to neighborhoods, and contribute to the character and economic vitality of Northeast Oklahoma City.

Supporting these businesses means creating access to the tools, relationships, and resources entrepreneurs need to continue moving forward.

Cohort 8 is now taking the next step in that journey.

Completing NSBA is a milestone, but it is also a starting point. The lessons, relationships, and connections developed throughout the program can continue to shape these businesses long after the cohort officially concludes.

Congratulations, Cohort 8!

To the founders of NSBA Cohort 8: congratulations!

We are proud to celebrate the work you have put into your businesses, the ideas you have developed, and the commitment you continue to show to your communities. Thank you for trusting NEOKCR to be part of your entrepreneurial journey.

We look forward to seeing where you take your businesses next—and to continuing to support you along the way.

Congratulations to NSBA Cohort 8 on this milestone!

Now that Cohort 8 has officially wrapped, we invite you to tap in and support the businesses behind this year’s cohort. These founders are building, creating, serving, and growing right here in our community—and your support helps turn their hard work into lasting momentum.
